About

Systems that predict which items a user will engage with, learned from interaction history, item attributes, or both — spanning the algorithm families that produce recommendations, the staged architecture that serves them, and how they are evaluated. Distinct from general supervised ranking: the defining constraints are a sparse user-item matrix, a catalogue far too large to score exhaustively, and feedback that is mostly implicit and never randomly sampled.
